When my wife asked me to help with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, I was skeptical. The concept sounded a bit far-fetched, using magnetism to stimulate the brain. I hadn’t heard of it before. So I investigated, found that there was research backing it up, and started enrolling patients. Needless to say, I’m sold on it now. Once I saw the results, I invested in it full time. I saw people with treatment resistant depression cured: able to go back to work, become fully engaged with family and friends, active and content. Obviously this wasn’t the case for everyone, but it was clear that it could be a great help to some people. Since then we’ve also treated patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, who have had significant improvement in their symptoms. And we now have a new treatment to help people quit smoking.
